Local and National Organisations

The organisations mentioned here offer support either to those in Bristol and the immediate surrounding areas, or on a National scale. Click the organisation names to visit the websites.

SARSAS

Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support offer various support services to those age 13+ of all genders who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse.

The Bridge

The Bridge is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), offering medical care, emotional and psychological support, and practical help to anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted.

The Green House

The Green House is a specialist support service for children, young people and families who have experienced sexual abuse.

The Southmead Project

The Southmead Project offers support to people of all genders aged 18 and above who have experienced any type of abuse.

Woman Kind

Woman Kind is a women's only service that offer various forms of support including helplines, webchat, counselling, group therapy, and befriending.

SafeLink

SafeLink provides support for anyone who has been the victim of rape and sexual abuse across Avon and Somerset.

Rape Crisis

Rape Crisis deliver specialist services to those affected by sexual violence and abuse, and aim to educate, influence and make change.

Bristol Mind

Mind offer a range of mental health support services from low-cost counselling to advocacy services for those with mental health issues.

Samaritans

Bristol Samaritans offer a range of support services for those suffering with poor mental health in the Bristol area.

Changes

Changes run multiple peer support groups throughout the week across the city for those experiencing various mental health issues.

Brook

Brook exist as a young person's (under 25) sexual health and wellbeing advice service, and offer some support and counselling services.

NextLink and MissingLink

Sister organisations to SafeLink.  NextLink - for domestic and sexual abuse survivors. MissingLink - for women's mental health.

Galop

LGBTQIA+ service for victims of sexual violence, domestic abuse, hate crimes and other forms of abuse.

Safeline

Specialist sexual abuse and violence charity including national male specific services and helpline.

The Survivor Pathway

Provides information and links to organisations across the South West that support suvivors of sexual abuse or violence.

The Survivors Trust

The Survivors Trust can help anyone affected by sexual abuse or rape find an agency near them nationally.

Male Survivors Partnership

The MSP work with male survivors of sexual abuse to help them get their lives back on track following abuse.

Survivors UK

Survivors UK offer various means of support for male and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse and rape.
